Tiedbook is a trading journal for futures and prop-firm traders. You import the trade history your platform already exports, and Tiedbook rebuilds your trades from the fills, applies fees, and reconciles each trading day to your broker statement. It also tracks prop-firm rules and helps you review your trading with a P&L calendar, a fee-leak report, a mistake detector, an edge finder and replays of your own fills.

Traders of futures and micro futures, especially those trading prop-firm evaluations and funded accounts, who want their journal to match their statement.

No. Tiedbook cannot place, change or cancel orders, and it never asks for your broker password. It works from exports you choose to give it, plus an optional read-only TopstepX sync.

No. Tiedbook shows you facts and patterns from your own history. It does not give signals, recommendations or advice, and we are not a broker, commodity trading advisor or investment adviser. See our Risk Disclosure.

Create an account at /signup to start a 7-day free trial (no card needed), export your trade history from your platform, and import it. If you just want to see what Tiedbook finds first, try the free Statement Check. It needs no account.

A free tool at /check that reads a NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic or TopstepX export and shows your fee-adjusted net P&L by day. It runs entirely in your browser: the file is not uploaded, and the result disappears when you refresh or close the page. The fee figures it uses are illustrative, so treat the result as an estimate.

No. Tiedbook runs in your web browser. You can optionally install it on your phone or computer as a web app (see Devices).

Tiedbook reads exports from NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic R|Trader, TopstepX/ProjectX, Sierra Chart and Interactive Brokers, plus a set of Beta formats and a column mapper for other files. The exact files we support, and which are Supported or Beta, are listed on the Imports page, which is the authoritative list.

Use the export from the NinjaTrader 8 Executions tab. The Trade Performance export is currently labeled Beta, because its columns depend on which ones you have visible.

The Tradovate Orders export provides your fills, and the Performance export provides daily totals for the statement side of the tie-out. Because the Orders export doesn't include commissions, Tiedbook applies a fee preset for your account. See /imports for details.

The R|Trader Order History export. Only filled orders are imported.

You can import the ProjectX trade export, or connect the optional read-only TopstepX sync (see the next section). Other platforms built on ProjectX are supported when their file uses the same columns.

Yes. Sierra Chart's Trade Activity Log (saved as CSV) and Interactive Brokers Flex Query trade reports are supported, provided they include the fields listed on /imports.

Usually, yes. The column mapper lets you tell Tiedbook which columns hold the time, symbol, side, quantity and price in any CSV file. Fees are then rebuilt from the file or from your account's preset.

A Beta format is one where we've written a parser but haven't yet confirmed it against enough real files. It may skip rows or misread columns. Check Beta imports carefully against your platform, and if something looks wrong, email the file to support@tiedbook.com so we can improve it. Formats listed as Beta at the time of writing include Quantower, TradingView, TradeStation, thinkorswim, MotiveWave, ATAS, Jigsaw, CQG, NinjaTrader Trade Performance and the Tradovate Fills report; the current list is on /imports.

When we've confirmed it against real export files. Sending us a sample (you can remove account numbers first) is the fastest way to help.

Tiedbook is built to recognize rows it has already imported, such as a repeated execution ID, and skip them. Always glance at the import summary to confirm.

Yes. You can import trades from more than one account and platform into your journal.

An optional, read-only connection that retrieves your account and trade data from TopstepX (ProjectX) using an API key you create, so you don't have to export files manually.

Yes. Our integration is built to call only the endpoints needed to read your accounts and trades. Endpoints that would place, modify, cancel or close orders are blocked in our code before any request is sent.

It is encrypted before it is stored and is used only to retrieve the data you asked for. It is never shown back in full and never shared with anyone except TopstepX itself when we make a request on your behalf. See /security.

Remove the key in Tiedbook's settings, and revoke it in your TopstepX/ProjectX account settings. Revoking it at the source guarantees it can no longer be used.

That depends on your firm's and platform's terms, and checking them is your responsibility. If your firm doesn't allow it, use file exports instead.

Not today. These platforms are supported through file imports. A NinjaTrader add-on is planned but not yet available, and we don't promise dates for planned features.

In accounting, a number is "tied" when it agrees with its source document. For each trading day, Tiedbook puts your journal's net P&L next to your statement's net P&L. If they match to the cent, the day is tied. If not, you see the difference.

The usual causes are missing fees (some exports leave out commissions and exchange fees), partial fills split across rows, time stamps without a time zone, and trades assigned to the wrong trading day around the session close. Tiedbook is designed to handle each of these and show you which one caused a difference.

If your export includes fees, we use them. If it doesn't, Tiedbook applies a fee preset for your broker or prop firm, covering commission, exchange, clearing and regulatory fees per contract. Presets show the date they were last checked. You can compare them to your firm's published schedule.

Your statement is the authority. Tell us at support@tiedbook.com with the correct schedule and we'll review the preset. Fee schedules change, so always check against your broker or firm.

Tiedbook shows the difference in dollars and cents and, where it can, the likely cause, such as a missing fee, a fill that appears on the statement but not in your export, or a trade-date shift. Differences it can't explain are shown as unexplained, never hidden.

Futures trade dates follow the exchange session, not the calendar day. For CME products the session rolls over in the late afternoon Central Time, so a trade placed in the evening counts toward the next trade date. Tiedbook assigns trades to the session's trade date so they line up with your statement.

A report showing how much you've paid in fees and where they come from, so you can see how costs affect your results.

Tiedbook is not a tax-reporting system. Use your broker's official tax documents and a qualified tax adviser.

It estimates where each prop account stands against its firm's published rules, such as daily loss limits, trailing drawdown, profit targets, consistency rules and minimum trading days, using the trades you've imported.

No. They are estimates derived from your data and from the firm's published rules as of the date shown. Firms change rules and interpret them themselves. Your firm's dashboard is always the official number.

It shows what, according to the firm's published rules and your imported trades, may still stand between you and a payout request, such as minimum days or a consistency threshold. It's a planning aid, not a promise. Only your firm decides whether and when it pays.

Tiedbook includes presets for firms whose rules are published, and the presets show when they were last checked. Because firm rules change frequently, check the preset against your firm's current rules. If your firm or program is missing, email support@tiedbook.com.

No. Nothing can. Evaluations and payouts are controlled by the firm under its own terms. See our Risk Disclosure.

No. We're independent of every broker, platform and prop firm, and we don't take payment from them based on your trading. See /disclaimer.

A month view of your trading days showing net P&L for each day after fees, so you can see good and bad days at a glance.

It applies rules you can read to flag behavior such as trading after hitting your daily stop, sizing above your own maximum, or re-entering quickly after a loss. Each flag links to the trades that triggered it, so you can judge for yourself.

It breaks down your historical results by factors such as time of day, weekday, setup and holding time, and shows how many trades each figure is based on. Small samples are unreliable, and Tiedbook flags them. Past patterns don't predict future results.

Replay plays back your own recorded fills so you can review how a trade unfolded. It is not a recording of the full market.

Yes. You can export your journal in common formats such as CSV at any time, including after you cancel.

Yes. You can add notes and tags to your trades. They stay private to your account and are included when you export your journal.

Only you. Your journal is private to your account. We don't publish or share your trading results, and we don't look at your data unless you ask us to (for example, to troubleshoot an import) or the law requires it.

No. We don't sell personal information or trade data, and we don't use your trade data for advertising.

All connections to Tiedbook use HTTPS (TLS) encryption, and API keys are encrypted at rest. See /security for details.

No. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.

No. It processes the file inside your browser. Nothing from the file is sent to our servers.

Yes, at any time from Settings, or by emailing legal@tiedbook.com. Deletion is permanent, so export first. A few records, such as billing records, are kept for as long as the law requires. See our Privacy Policy.

We use only necessary cookies by default. Analytics or marketing cookies are used only if we enable them, and only after you agree. See our Cookie Policy.

No. We don't use your data to train machine-learning or AI models.

One plan, priced in U.S. dollars: $29 per month, or $249 per year. A founding price of $199 per year is available for a limited time. Current prices are always on /pricing.

An introductory annual price of $199 for the first 300 founding members. It stays at $199 for as long as that subscription stays active without a lapse. It is not locked for life: if the subscription lapses, a later subscription uses the prices then in effect.

You get 7 days free, and no card is needed. Because we don't take a card, the trial never turns into a paid subscription by itself and you'll never be charged when it ends. If you want to continue, choose a plan.

Yes. Monthly plans renew every month and annual plans every year, at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. We email a reminder before every annual renewal, and we'll always give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase.

Online, in a few clicks: Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. You don't need to call or chat with anyone. You can also email support@tiedbook.com. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. Your data stays available to export afterwards.

If Tiedbook isn't right for you, email support@tiedbook.com within 30 days of your first payment for a new subscription and we'll refund that payment in full. No reason needed.

Generally no, because you can cancel any time before a renewal. But if an annual plan renews and you cancel within 7 days of the renewal charge, we'll refund that renewal. Monthly renewals aren't refunded. Billing mistakes on our side are always refunded. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

We aim to process approved refunds within 5 business days. Your bank then usually takes 5 to 10 business days to show it.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Major credit and debit cards are accepted, and other methods may be shown at checkout depending on your country.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. If sales tax, VAT or a similar tax applies to your purchase, it will be shown at checkout before you pay.

Yes. Stripe emails a receipt for every payment. If you need an invoice with your company details, email support@tiedbook.com.

Yes. Before you confirm, you'll be shown how the change is applied, including any proration. If you can't find the option, email support@tiedbook.com and we'll switch it for you.

There's no free plan for the journal itself, but the Statement Check is free and needs no account, and the 7-day trial is free.

No. Each account is for one person. See our Terms.

Tiedbook can be installed on your phone as a web app directly from your browser. It opens full-screen like an app and uses the same account. There are no native App Store or Google Play apps at present.

On iPhone or iPad, open tiedbook.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open tiedbook.com in Chrome, open the menu, then tap Install app or Add to Home screen.

Yes, in any current version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Desktop browsers that support web apps can also install it.

Tiedbook needs an internet connection to sync and save your journal. The Statement Check processes files locally, but the page itself needs to load first.

Rows are normally skipped because they aren't fills (for example, canceled or working orders), are duplicates of rows already imported, or couldn't be read. The import summary tells you how many rows were skipped and why.

Check that you exported the file type listed on /imports and saved it as CSV. If it still isn't recognized, use the column mapper, or email the file to support@tiedbook.com.

Some exports don't include a time zone, so Tiedbook reads those times in the exchange's time zone (U.S. Central Time for CME products). If your platform exported in a different zone and the times look wrong, email us a sample and we'll help.

In order: that you imported every fill for that day (partial fills are a common gap), that the fee preset matches your firm's schedule, and that the trade falls on the right trade date around the session close. Tiedbook shows the difference amount, which often points to the cause.

Email support@tiedbook.com and we'll help you remove the affected trades.

Check your spam or junk folder and confirm the address you used. If it still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, email support@tiedbook.com.

The most common reasons are an expired or revoked API key, or a change on the TopstepX side. Re-enter or recreate the key. If that doesn't help, email us. We can't control third-party outages or changes, but we'll work to adapt.

There are several well-regarded journals, including Tradezella, TraderSync, Tradervue and Edgewonk, and each has its own strengths. Some cover stocks, options and forex as well as futures, offer automatic sync with many brokers, or include community and coaching features. Tiedbook is narrower by design: it is built for futures and prop-firm traders, and its focus is getting the numbers right after fees, tying each day to your broker statement, and tracking prop-firm rules next to your trades.

If you mainly trade stocks or options, need automatic sync with a broker we only support through files, or want social or community features, another journal may fit you better. We'd rather you choose the right tool.

If your old journal can export your trades as CSV, you can usually import them with the column mapper. For the best fee accuracy, we recommend importing the original exports from your trading platform.

Run your platform export through our free Statement Check and compare its daily net figures with your current journal and your broker statement. Then decide.
