P&L calendar

The calendar is the book, not a heat map for its own sake. A tied day carries the tie-out mark. The session rolls at 5:00 PM Chicago.

  • Friday evening and the weekend belong to Monday’s session.
  • Profit and loss use a plus or a minus, not color alone.
  • The sample month is October 2026, including losing days.

How it works

A futures calendar that groups by the date printed on the timestamp will mis-file the evening session. Equity index futures reopen after 5:00 PM Chicago. A trade at 6:00 PM Thursday is Friday’s session. A trade at 6:00 PM Friday is Monday’s session. The calendar in Tiedbook uses that session day.

Each cell is a session, not a midnight-to-midnight box in the browser’s time zone. The month shows green and red days together. A tied day is marked when reconciliation has a matching statement. A day without a statement stays unmarked rather than pretending it matched.

On a phone the month becomes a list: weekday, date, net, and whether the day is tied. You can tap a day and see the trades that built it. The list is the same account as the desktop month. There is no separate phone book.

The range on the dashboard, week through year to date, uses the same session dates. A weekly review does not pull Thursday evening into the wrong week. That is the difference between a stock calendar and a futures calendar.

The October sample walks a full month, including losing days. It is there so the calendar is not a highlight reel. The badge on the sample says it is not a real account. Your own book replaces it when you import a file.

You can install the site on a phone home screen. The calendar is the same page, with the same session roll. There is no separate app-store build and no second set of numbers.

If your statement rolls at a different hour, set it in Settings. The label under the control tells you what the product will do, including whether the weekend rolls onto Monday. Support can confirm the rule if a day still disagrees with the statement.

A review that starts from the calendar should still end on the statement row. Open the day, read the trades, then open reconciliation if the tied mark is missing. The month is the index. The cent match is the receipt. Export the month with the notes still attached, so a weekend review is not trapped in the browser.

What you see

The month header shows the net for the sessions in view, the count of tied days, and the open items. A red day is still a day. Hiding it would make the month lie.

From a day you can open the trades, the fees, and the statement row. The calendar is the index. Reconciliation is the receipt.

Questions

Why is Thursday night on Friday?

The CME equity-index session rolls at 5:00 PM Chicago. The calendar follows that trade date.

Can I see only winning days?

No. The month includes the red days. A journal that hides them is a brochure.

Does the phone calendar match the desktop month?

Yes. Same account, same session dates, listed instead of squeezed into tiny cells.

What is a tied mark?

The day’s journal net matched the statement you imported, to the cent.
