Feature

Trade journal

Tags and notes sit on the trade. A rule you did not write is not pasted over a tag you did.

  • One row per round trip, rebuilt from fills.
  • Notes stay with the trade when you export.
  • The sample book is labelled sample data.

How it works

The journal is the notes and tags on the trades, kept with the fill prices and the fees. It is not a separate diary that can drift away from the statement. Open a trade and the note, the tags, the prices, and the net are on one page.

You write what you saw. The product does not generate a story for a loss and does not auto-tag a setup. If a rule flags the trade, the flag is a rule you can read, and your note is left untouched.

Notes stay on the trade when you export. The CSV includes tags and notes, so a review you wrote in October is still in the file in January, including after the subscription ends.

The phone journal is the same list: symbol, side, net, tags, and the note. You can edit the note on the phone. It is the same record as the desktop trade page, not a summary that drops the text.

A session day can hold several trades. The journal does not merge them into one mood. Each round trip keeps its own note, because the mistake was often one of them.

The sample book has notes so you can see the shape of the page. They are sample notes on sample trades. Replace them by importing your file. A new account starts empty, without the sample, so you do not have to delete someone else’s October.

Search on the trade list looks at symbol, tags, and notes. That is how you find the last time you wrote “moved the stop.” The search does not leave the device’s journal.

Write the note the same day if you can. The prices will still be there next week. The reason will not. The journal keeps the sentence next to the fill so a later report can group the tag you actually chose, rather than a mood you half remember.

What you see

The trade page shows entry, exit, quantity, fees, and net in cents, then the note. Replay of the fills sits on the same page, so the note and the prices are not in different products.

Empty notes are allowed. A journal that demands a paragraph before you can save a trade gets abandoned by Thursday.

Questions

Does an AI write the note?

No. You write it. There is no generated review of the trade.

Do notes export?

Yes. Tags and notes are columns in the CSV.

Will flags erase what I typed?

No. Mistake rules add a flag. They do not replace the note or the tags.

Is the sample journal my book?

No. It is labelled sample data. A new signup starts empty.

Every account is on the plan. Replay walks the fills you uploaded.
