Tiedbook · Operated by MRSLM Group LLC Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy explains how MRSLM Group LLC, doing business as Tiedbook ("we," "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on https://tiedbook.com and in the Tiedbook web app. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that let a website keep information on your device. Pixels or tags are small pieces of code that tell a provider that a page was viewed or an action was taken. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.
Cookies can be first-party (set by tiedbook.com) or third-party (set by another company's domain), and session (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (kept until they expire or you delete them).
2. The categories we use
| Category | What it does | Your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and stores the sample journal on your device when you use it there. | Always on. The Service cannot keep you signed in without the session cookie. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in will stop working. |
| Preferences | Remembers choices such as light or dark theme and table and chart settings. | Stored in local storage on your device; used only to apply your choices. You can clear them at any time. |
| Analytics (used if enabled) | Helps us understand which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the product. Planned provider: PostHog. | Off unless you opt in. |
| Marketing (not used at launch) | Would measure whether ads lead to sign-ups. No advertising provider is connected. | Off. A banner and an opt-out will be added before any advertising cookie is used. |
Error tracking. If we enable Sentry for error tracking, it is configured not to set cookies; it collects technical diagnostic data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Statement Check. The free Statement Check processes your file in your browser memory. It does not store your file in cookies or send it to us. Refreshing or closing the page clears it.
3. Cookie table
Audited in the browser against this application. Logged-out pages do not set a cookie. Signing in sets one first-party cookie. Theme and the sample journal live in local storage on your device. We do not set a consent cookie, a CSRF cookie, a PostHog cookie, or a Google Ads cookie. Stripe's payment page is on Stripe's domain; we do not load Stripe.js on tiedbook.com, so Stripe does not set cookies on our origin.
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Type and duration | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
tiedbook_session | Tiedbook (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. HTTP-only. The Secure flag is set in production. SameSite is Lax. | Cookie; 30 days | Active when you are signed in |
theme | Tiedbook (first-party) | Preferences | Remembers light or dark. It is written when you choose a theme, not on the first visit. | Local storage; until you clear it | Active after you choose a theme |
tiedbook.journal.v1 | Tiedbook (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Stores the sample journal on this device | Local storage; until you clear it | Active when a journal is saved on the device |
tiedbook.pending-user | Tiedbook (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Carries the name and email from the sign-in form into the app for that tab, then it is removed | Session storage; until the tab reads it | Active only during sign-in |
| Stripe cookies | Stripe, on stripe.com and checkout.stripe.com | Strictly necessary | Fraud prevention and payment, under Stripe's own cookie policy | Set on Stripe's domain when you pay, not on tiedbook.com | Used when you pay on Stripe |
4. Consent
4.1 Necessary storage only, at launch. We do not set analytics or marketing cookies, and we do not run a cookie banner. A banner, with an equal Accept and Reject choice, will be added before any analytics or advertising technology is enabled.
4.2 No consent cookie. We do not store a tiedbook_consent cookie, because there is no optional category to remember.
4.3 Changing what is stored. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Clearing them signs you out and removes the on-device sample journal. It does not delete a journal stored in your Tiedbook account.
4.4 Global Privacy Control. We do not sell or share personal information and we do not set advertising cookies. If we later enable advertising measurement, we will treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out and say so in this policy before that change.
4.5 Records of automatic-renewal consent are separate from cookies. They are described in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Guides are available from your browser's help pages (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others). If you block necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in. Clearing local storage will remove preferences and any demo journal stored on that device; it does not delete data stored in your Tiedbook Account.
6. Changes
We will update this policy and the table above whenever we add, remove or change a cookie or provider, and we will ask for your consent again where a change requires it.
