1. Export
In Tradovate, export Orders. Filled rows become fills. Canceled, working, and rejected rows are skipped and listed on the preview.
Import
A Tradovate trading journal in Tiedbook starts from the Orders export and, when you have it, the Performance CSV. That is a file import. Tiedbook does not log in to Tradovate and does not auto-sync Tradovate.
Supported, via CSV export. Auto-sync is not available.
In Tradovate, export Orders. Filled rows become fills. Canceled, working, and rejected rows are skipped and listed on the preview.
The Orders file has no commission column. Choose the fee preset on the account before you confirm, so the journal is not missing fees the statement will show.
Export Performance, or the statement, and import it on Reconcile. Each Chicago session can then sit next to the statement.
Nothing is stored until you confirm the preview. A confirmed batch can be undone.
Worked example: one MES buy and one MES sell, both filled, become one round trip. A working order sitting under them is skipped and named on the preview. If you confirm without a fee preset, the journal net is the price difference only, and the statement will be lower by the commission. Pick the dated preset first. Then export Performance, or the statement, and tie the Chicago session.
Apex, Tradeify, Lucid, and Take Profit Trader accounts that download a Tradovate Orders file use this same import. The rule distance is not in the CSV. It is on the firm page. There is no Tradovate login and no Tradovate auto-sync. Nothing is stored until you confirm, and a confirmed batch can be undone.
| Field | What the import does |
|---|---|
| Filled rows | Become fills. |
| Canceled, working, rejected | Skipped, and listed on the preview. |
| Commission | Not in the Orders file. The account fee preset fills it unless you say otherwise. |
| Performance CSV | Daily totals for Reconcile, not a second trade list. |

In Tradovate, export Orders. Open Imports in Tiedbook and drop the file on the preview. Read the skipped lines before you look at the net. Export Performance when you want the day tied. Reconcile shows journal net, statement net, and the difference in cents. A tied day matches. An open day stays open until you mark it known or fix the file.
The session still rolls at 5:00 PM Chicago. An evening fill belongs to the next session even though Tradovate’s clock shows the calendar date. If the preview’s day and the statement’s day disagree by one session, check the roll before you blame the fee.
Export the Orders CSV for fills and the Performance CSV for daily totals. Tiedbook reads those files. It does not connect to a Tradovate login.
If the account downloads a Tradovate Orders file, the same import applies. Rule distances for each firm are on that firm’s page, with a link to the current rules.
No. Tradovate is a CSV import. Read-only sync exists only as an optional TopstepX key, and it cannot place orders.
The preview shows the mismatch. Do not confirm a file you cannot read. The column mapper is for unknown layouts, and those stay Beta.
The preview names every skipped row before a fill is saved.
