Intraday trailing drawdown by account size
Apex’s intraday article says the threshold follows the highest balance, including unrealized gains, and never moves down. Touching it liquidates positions. An evaluation fails. A performance account closes. A 50K evaluation starts at $50,000 with the threshold at $48,000. An unrealized high of $50,900 moves the threshold to $48,900 immediately. That is the worked example on the trailing drawdown calculator’s Apex preset.
On a performance account, trailing stops at the starting balance plus $100. The 50K example locks at $50,100 once the highest balance reaches $52,100. Rithmic and WealthCharts evaluations stop trailing at the profit-target balance. The 50K example fixes the threshold at $53,000 once the balance reaches $55,000. Tradovate evaluations keep trailing. Those are three different stops. The account you bought decides which sentence applies.
| Evaluation | Intraday trail | Published example |

| 50K | $2,000 | Starts at $50,000 with the threshold at $48,000. A high of $50,900 moves it to $48,900 immediately. |

| 150K | $4,000 | Touching the threshold liquidates positions. An evaluation fails. |
