DayTraders Trail uses an intraday trailing max loss in both phases, so open profit moves the floor. Its best-day rule tightens from 50% in the evaluation to 30% per funded payout cycle.

How the intraday trailing drawdown moves on a 50K

Illustrative example using the published $2,500 maximum loss: a 50K evaluation opens at $50,000 with the floor at $47,500. A trade that shows $50,900 in open profit moves the floor to $48,400 at once, even if you close the trade flat.

The floor follows the peak, open profit included, and does not come back down. That is why a scalper who lets winners run and then cuts them can find the floor much closer than the closed balance suggests.

DayTraders payouts: what has to line up

With a 30% consistency rule, your largest day can be at most 30% of the profit counted for the payout. A $600 best day needs at least $2,000 of total profit before it passes. Bank one big day early and the following days have to carry the rest.

A payout request has to clear a $500 (in $50 steps) minimum, a cap ($2,000). The split is 100% (simulated). Track each condition separately; the one you miss is usually the one you were not counting.

What traders get caught on

  • The evaluation needs 2 qualifying days, and a 50K allows 10 minis or 100 micros. (source: daytraders.com)
  • Funded payouts have a $500 minimum, in $50 steps, and a $2,000 cap. (source: daytraders.com)

Journaling a DayTraders account

Import the fills from your platform’s export and Tiedbook ties each session to the statement. Then it draws the DayTraders floor, the daily limit and the best-day share on your own trades, so you see the room left before the next order, not after the account email.

The firm’s figures are labeled as the firm’s. If they and your dashboard disagree, the dashboard is right. Use the trailing drawdown calculator and the consistency calculator to test a plan first, or read how a prop firm trading journal handles several accounts.
