How the end-of-day drawdown moves on a 50K
Illustrative example using the published $2,000 maximum loss: a 50K evaluation opens at $50,000 with the floor at $48,000. Close day one at $50,800 and the floor moves to $48,800 for the next session.
On day two the balance runs to $51,200, gives it back, and closes at $50,900. The floor moves only to $48,900, because the end-of-day balance is what it trails. The intraday high you gave back does not move it. Check the firm’s page for whether the floor is also monitored in real time during the session.
E8 Futures payouts: what has to line up
With a 35% consistency rule, your largest day can be at most 35% of the profit counted for the payout. A $600 best day needs at least $1,715 of total profit before it passes. Bank one big day early and the following days have to carry the rest.
A payout request has to clear eligibility (5 profitable days of $150 or more (0.3%) between payouts, not for the first payout; buffer equal to the drawdown stays in the account), a $100 net (request at least $125 at 80%) minimum, a cap ($1,250 (1-2), $2,000 (3-4)). The split is 80%. Track each condition separately; the one you miss is usually the one you were not counting.
What traders get caught on
- Funded payouts need 5 profitable days of $150 or more between payouts. (source: helpfutures.e8markets.com)
- Caps are $1,250 for payouts 1 and 2, then $2,000 for payouts 3 and 4. (source: helpfutures.e8markets.com)
- The minimum is $100 net, so you request at least $125 at an 80% split. (source: helpfutures.e8markets.com)
Journaling a E8 Futures account
Import the fills from your platform’s export and Tiedbook ties each session to the statement. Then it draws the E8 Futures floor, the daily limit and the best-day share on your own trades, so you see the room left before the next order, not after the account email.
The firm’s figures are labeled as the firm’s. If they and your dashboard disagree, the dashboard is right. Use the trailing drawdown calculator and the consistency calculator to test a plan first, or read how a prop firm trading journal handles several accounts.
